Sustainability at Fjord Paper Flensburg
Careful use of resources and sustainable production of high-quality specialty papers are matters close to our hearts. Therefore, we not only comply with the applicable country and EU regulations, but even exceed them with our own environmental guidelines.
We generate the energy needed for our production in an efficient combined heat and power plant. We minimise the consumption of fresh water, which is essential for paper production, by closing loops, reusing water and investing in mechanical-chemical-biological wastewater treatment.
We also reduce waste and increase recycling through our "electronic waste group collection system".
And even when products leave our site, we think ahead: we prefer to transport them worldwide by rail or sea and rely on the advantages of intermodal transport.
